OAKLAND — Shortstop Marcus Semien will be joining the A’s in Seattle on Thursday when they finish off the first half of the season with a four-game series against the Mariners, manager Bob Melvin said Wednesday.
Melvin said there isn’t a specific day yet for when Semien will play a game. Sidelined since mid-April with a wrist injury, Semien played three games for Triple-A Nashville after he played five games for Single-A Stockton. His combined stats for all eight games over the last 12 days was 10-for-31 (.323) with eight RBIs. He also made two errors.
Tuesday, Semien hit a home run against Colorado Springs and finished 2-for-5 with one strikeout.
