After throwing a no-hitter in his last start, Sean Manaea entered the Oakland A’s history books once again on Friday. The left-hander completed 14 consecutive hitless innings before finally allowing a single to the Astros.
Manaea finished his April 15 start with two perfect innings against the Mariners, and then threw his nine-inning no-hitter against the Red Sox. That left Blue Moon Odom’s record in jeopardy entering Friday’s game in Houston.
