Here’s the trade: Right-handed pitcher Burch Smith will go from San Francisco to Oakland while the Giants will receive cash considerations from the A’s.
The trade might not sound significant, but it’s the first official trade between the Bay Area teams since the Giants sent pitcher Adam Pettyjohn to the A’s in a deal that also brought cash considerations to San Francisco.
