Rewind: Kazmir gets denied, but A's rally for needed win

OAKLAND – He didn’t have his own victory to discuss, but Scott Kazmir was more than willing to talk about what Saturday night’s win over Minnesota meant for the A’s.

It was a come-from-behind victory that erased what was shaping up as a familiar come-from-ahead defeat. It featured starring moments from the A’s headline performers as well as one of their bit players.

The only thing missing from a 3-2, 10-inning victory was the ‘W’ next to Kazmir’s name. That was a travesty considering he took a shutout into the ninth, but it seemed the furthest thing from Kazmir’s mind as he addressed reporters after the game.
