SEATTLE – In the discussion of the A’s large crop of potential starting pitchers, Aaron Brooks’ name can fall through the cracks.
He wasn’t part of the early-season picture, with the likes of Jesse Hahn and Kendall Graveman. He arrived in a midseason trade, but didn’t come with the hype of prospects like Sean Manaea and Casey Meisner.
His performance, and that alone, will dictate Brooks’ path with Oakland, and the right-hander was in top form in Friday’s 4-2 victory over Seattle. In the first half of the season, a seven-inning, two-run outing was par for the course for the A’s rotation.
