Former Castro Valley High and Stanford star Jason Castro appears to have found a new home.
After six seasons with the Astros, the 29-year-old catcher has reportedly agreed to a three-year deal with the Minnesota Twins, according to multiple national reports.
The deal is reportedly worth $24.5 million, according to Yahoo Sports. News of the deal was first reported by Fox Sports.
Castro, the 10th overall pick by the Astros in 2008, fills a big void for the Twins, who lost Kurt Suzuki to free agency and only have John Ryan Murphy as a viable option within the organization.
