Report: Jarrod Parker, A's avoid arbitration for 2016

The A's and starting pitcher Jarrod Parker have reportedly avoided arbitration.

Parker will receive $850,000 total ($425,000 guaranteed), according to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports.

The 27-year-old right-hander last pitched for the A's in 2013, going 12-8 with a 3.97 ERA.

Parker missed the 2014 season after Tommy John surgery, and fractured his elbow during a rehab start in May.
