History is not too kind to the A’s when it comes to Opening Day. Since 2000, the A’s have gone 6-14 when the season is set to begin.
Not great.
A's manager Bob Melvin had been pretty open previously about being disappointed in not bringing home a win during a 10-season straight loss drought from 2005-14.
