MESA, Ariz. - Jed Lowrie reported to A’s camp Saturday better rested and able to run again.
The team’s second baseman had surgery to repair ligament damage and remove a cyst in his left foot last August, then had a procedure to fix a deviated septum, a problem he’d had for about nine years and that he now knows severely impacted his ability to sleep.
“That’s made a big difference with my training - I was sleeping eight, nine hours a night before and waking up tired,” he said.
Post-surgery, even with a four-month old, Miles, at home, Lowrie said he is getting better sleep than he had before.
