OAKLAND -- In a marathon affair that featured plenty of drama, the A's walked off with a Matt Olson RBI knock to top the White Sox, 12-11, on Wednesday in 14 innings and claim a series sweep.
While the White Sox jumped on A's starter Andrew Triggs early, Oakland was able to claw its way back throughout the game. Trailing by as many as five runs on two separate occasions, the A's took their first lead of the game in the bottom of the eighth when Jed Lowrie belted a two-run shot to left field.
