When the Oakland Athletics acquired Kendall Graveman in the off season, some fans and analysts were calling it the sleeper hit of Billy Beane‘s epic “not a rebuild” rebuild. The 23 year old right handed starter came in the package for all star Josh Donaldson and was expected to be a valuable member of the Oakland Athletics rotation.
The expectation may be a bit unfair, though, considering Graveman had only pitched 4.2 big league innings and 18 batters in his career. His low inning count is skewing his numbers, at one point having an ERA of infinity, but his minor league ERA of 1.
