The Oakland Athletics ended Thursday’s tilt against the Seattle Mariners in true Spring Training fashion: an 11-11 tie, brought on by a late-inning rally and dramatic comeback.
The Highlights
The Athletics did all of the scoring in the early innings. Danny Valencia launched a two-run home run to get things started in the first inning, and a pair of second-inning RBI doubles from Coco Crisp and Jed Lowrie made it 5-0 in favor of the Green and Gold. The A’s added two to their total in the third, after Mariners starter James Paxton walked in a run, and Marcus Semien hit a sacrifice fly.
