Over the holidays, Matthew Artz of the Contra Costa Times reported that the newspaper had obtained a 21-page city report that discussed potential sites for a new Oakland Athletics stadium. The five sites mentioned are mostly locations that have major issues – either costs related to obtaining the land and making it usable, or feasibility concerns such as parking and mass transit deficiencies.
With the Oakland Raiders possibly on their way back to Los Angeles, it’s becoming very likely that the Athletics will stay in the city of Oakland.
