The Athletics continue to shuffle their long relievers as Jesse Hahn recovers from a blister.
The Athletics will call up right-handed pitcher Chris Bassitt from Triple-A Nashville for Thursday's game against the Los Angeles Angels, according to the Bay Area News Group's John Hickey. The report was confirmed by CSN California's Joe Stiglich. Right-handed pitcher Arnold Leon was optioned to Triple-A after Wednesday's game, manager Bob Melvin told beat writers (Jane Lee tweet).
Bassitt will replace Leon as the long reliever while Jesse Chavez starts Thursday's game in place of Jesse Hahn, who is allowing a blister on his right middle finger to heal.
