Oakland A’s strength & conditioning coach reportedly spied on players in weight room

In a bizarre turn of events, an Oakland A’s employee is being investigated for spying on players with a hidden camera, reports Tim Brown of Yahoo! Sports. The employee, strength and conditioning coach Michael Henriques, installed the camera in the weight room so that he could monitor players’ workouts and rehab while the team was on the road. Per Brown:

“This was the misguided action of one employee,” said Billy Beane, the A’s executive vice president of baseball operations. “We hired an independent investigator. While the employee’s intentions were good his judgment was very poor.
