The Oakland Athletics and Josh Reddick reached an agreement on a one-year arbitration settlement, reports MLB Network's Jon Heyman:
The deal falls below the $7.0 million projected by Matt Swartz for MLB Trade Rumors. Today's deal shouldn't have any effect on the possibility of an extension, as the sides needed to reach an agreement for this year's salary before February arbitration hearings. This year's free agent outfielder market could provide the A's and Reddick a better idea of what Reddick could expect at free agency at the end of 2016, but it has been slow to develop.
