The Athletics left-hander, acquired in the Josh Donaldson deal, is likely the fifth starter for September, replacing Cody Martin.
The Oakland Athletics recalled left-handed starter Sean Nolin from the Triple-A Nashville Sounds. Nolin last pitched on August 31, and regular rest would keep him on turn to start Saturday for the A's against the Seattle Mariners in place of Cody Martin, though he could start as late as Tuesday. Nolin was acquired from the Toronto Blue Jays with Brett Lawrie, Kendall Graveman, and Franklin Barreto for Josh Donaldson.
