Oakland A's prospect Chad Pinder homers twice in Arizona Fall League debut

The Arizona Fall League kicked off on Tuesday, and one Oakland A's prospect got off to a great start. Chad Pinder, who played shortstop for the Double-A Midland RockHounds this season and was named Texas League Player of the Year before helping his team win the league's championship, picked up right where he left off in his first game for the Mesa Solar Sox.

Pinder homered twice as part of a 3-for-5 day that included four RBI, though the Sox fell 8-7. The team is made up of prospects from the A's, Angels, Rays, Cubs, and Marlins, and the good news is that no A's prospects pitched, so all those runs were given up by someone else's future arms.
