The Oakland A’s placed catcher Josh Phegley on the 7-day concussion disabled list, the team announced Thursday morning. Fellow catcher Bruce Maxwell was recalled from Triple-A Nashville to take his spot on the roster.
According to A’s beat writer Jane Lee, Phegley was injured in the 6th inning when he took a foul ball of his mask.
Phegley feeling OK but understands they want to be cautious. Went through series of concussion tests and will see how he feels tomorrow.
