The Oakland Athletics have announced that they have agreed to a one-year arbitration settlement with Felix Doubront and declined to tender a contract with first baseman Ike Davis, making him a free agent. There is no word yet on the amount of Doubront's contract. Earlier today, Craig Gentry elected free agency rather than accept outright assignment to the minor leagues, according to Athletics Farm's Bill Moriarity.
The San Francisco Chronicle's Susan Slusser reports that Davis will be the only player non-tendered by the Athletics.
