Oakland A's lose to Milwaukee Brewers 4-2

OAKLAND -- Rookie starter Daniel Mengden had only one bad inning, but that's all it took Wednesday as the A's fell 4-2 to the Milwaukee Brewers before a crowd of 13,586.

The Brewers scored three times in the sixth inning on a squeeze bunt by Yadiel Rivera and a two-run home run by Scooter Gennett and it was all they would need against an A's team that managed only a solo home run by Coco Crisp in the fourth inning and an RBI single from Max Muncy in the seventh. The A's went 3-6 on the home stand and travel to Anaheim for a four-game series against the Los Angeles Angels starting Thursday with a 29-42 record, last in the American League West.
