This story contains graphic details about sexual assault and physical violence.
In an interview with USA Today, legendary Oakland Athletics pitcher Dave Stewart angrily called out the Los Angeles Dodgers' slow, tepid response to the sexual assault and physical assault allegations made against starting pitcher Trevor Bauer. And Stewart — a member of the World Series champion 1981 Dodgers squad — says he'll now skip their 40th anniversary event on July 25.
Last week, The Athletic first reported on a restraining order filed against Bauer by a woman who alleges that during two sexual encounters that began as consensual, Bauer choked her unconscious, repeatedly hit her and penetrated her anally, all without consent.
