The Oakland A’s have been ravaged by injuries this season, but miraculously they’ve managed to gut their way toward a winning record anyway. Now the injury news is beginning to improve as well.
There are still seven players on the MLB disabled list (soon to be eight, as we’ll discuss in a moment), plus a couple other key pitchers out of action in Triple-A. Two of them are definitely out for the year after Tommy John surgery (Jharel Cotton from the MLB squad, and minor league prospect A.J. Puk), but most of the rest are well on their way back to health.
