Oakland A’s executive Taj Tashombe, a well-known lobbyist and community liaison for the organization’s Howard Terminal development, quietly separated from the team late last week.
The team’s website still lists Tashombe as “Vice President, Government Affairs,” and his LinkedIn page still listed the A’s as his employer as of Tuesday morning. But the team confirmed his departure occurred on Friday, Aug. 5.
“I cannot comment on personnel matters, but can confirm that he’s no longer with the A’s organization,” an A’s spokesperson told SFGATE. Tashombe did not reply to requests for comment.
Tashombe’s departure was first reported by local independent journalist Zennie Abraham, who broke the news on a YouTube stream Monday night.
