Left-handed reliever Jake Diekman agreed to a two-year contract, with a 2022 club option, with the Oakland A’s, the team announced on Tuesday.
The contract is reportedly worth $7.5 million over the two years, per the San Francisco Chronicle’s Susan Slusser.
Diekman came to the A’s in a trade with the Kansas City Royals at the 2019 trade deadline. He recorded a 4.43 ERA with 21 strikeouts, 16 walks and a 3.95 FIP and allowed no home runs in 20.1 innings as an Athletic.
