Long before the Splash Brothers, there were the Bash Brothers — Jose Canseco and Mark McGwire, two muscle-bound hulks who swatted massive home runs for the Oakland A’s and, um, reportedly did so with the help of steroids.
In honor of the 30th anniversary of the A’s 1989 championship season, The Lonely Island comedy/musical trio — Andy Samberg, Jorma Taccone, and Akiva Schaffer — have dropped what they call a 27-minute “visual poem” about the former baseball stars on Netflix. It’s called “The Unauthorized Bash Brothers Experience.”
The collection of music videos has Samberg and Schaffer playing Canseco and McGwire, respectively, and doing some hilarious, profanity-laced raps along the way.
