The 2015 season was not kind to the Oakland A's. After making three straight trips to the postseason in 2012-14, the declining roster underwent a massive overhaul. Unfortunately, the new group of misfit toys never gelled into a winning club -- the bullpen was historically ineffective at holding leads, the defense led MLB in errors, nobody hit more than 20 homers, injuries slowed down some key players, and everything that could go wrong generally did. Even Ben Zobrist couldn't save the sinking ship. The A's lost 94 games, marking their first 90-loss campaign in 18 years under general manager Billy Beane and only their third last-place finish.
