KANSAS CITY – The A’s decision to take the tarps off the third deck at the Coliseum is a big hit with the club’s manager, Bob Melvin.
The team made the announcement on Tuesday and Melvin said “I like it.”
“I think it’s great,” the manager went on to say. “And it has the charity component involved as well, so we’re all for that.”
It remains to be seen if the newly available seats, priced at $15, will increase attendance of the A’s. Oakland drew 36,067 for the opener against the Angels a week ago Monday, then drew not much more than that combined for the next three games against the Anaheim crew.
