Hal Gordon is a PhD student at UC Berkeley studying to be an environmental economist. He wants to know more about how much vegetarians reduce their carbon footprints, and how the food industry might make dietary alternatives more accessible for everyday consumers.
In his free time, Gordon pursues slightly zanier projects, like designing fake ketchup bottles that prank unsuspecting targets by squirting out a red string instead of an actual condiment. He also makes his own custom baseball cards, even though he doesn’t play sports. I feel like a kid at a carnival as he shows off his various collectibles and gags on our Zoom call.
