MESA, Ariz. -- I was intrigued when I saw that Matt McBride was listed as a catcher on this spring's list of non-roster invitees. McBride has not been credited with a professional game as a catcher since 2013, splitting his time between the corner outfield spots and first base the last couple of years between Colorado and their Triple-A clubs.
