Oakland’s inability to beat the Astros took on an even more unfortunate tinge Thursday when Matt Chapman had a rough day at third base, then came out of the game with a right hand injury.
Chapman, who is among the top defensive players in baseball, made two errors in the sixth Thursday and had trouble with another play that inning in the A’s 7-3 loss, the team’s eighth in a row at Houston’s hands.
