The A’s still don’t have much clarity on their quest for a new ballpark in Oakland, but at least they know Major League Baseball is firmly in their corner.
During a media session Thursday at AT&T Park, commissioner Rob Manfred reiterated that “it’s my goal to help the A's get a new facility, which they desperately need, in Oakland.”
The A’s efforts to build a new venue appear squarely focused in Oakland right now, specifically at the Coliseum site. But there’s the not-so-small issue of the Raiders also looking to build at the same location, and that’s problematic.
