SEATTLE - Even with an 18-man bullpen, the A’s went into Wednesday night’s game at Safeco FIeld a little on the thin side.
Lou Trivino was a little better after being unavailable Tuesday with a neck issue, but manager Bob Melvin said he’d probably try to stay away from using Trivino and Cory Gearrin, who has been out with triceps discomfort.
In addition, several other A’s relievers will get the night off because of workload reasons, with closer Blake Treinen among those likely to be unavailable, along with Fernando Rodney and, potentially, J.
