A minor league staff member in the Oakland Athletics organization tested positive for COVID-19 and has been hospitalized, the A’s said in a statement.
Minor league coach and manager Webster Garrison, 54, is on ventilators and has been hospitalized in Louisiana with COVID-19, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.

Garrison’s fianceé, Nikki Trudeaux, posted on Facebook on Friday about the couple’s positive coronavirus diagnoses.
“I know we all are so overwhelmed with emotions right now. I am physically suffering from this virus as well,” the post reads. “I am blessed to be able to cry out to God and ask for healing of my body and lungs unlike so many others.
