MESA, Ariz. — A’s pitcher Liam Hendriks has seen the effects of cyberbullying first-hand.
His wife, Kristi, runs an online clothing store called For the Field Apparel. He said when some people find out who she is — and who her husband is — they sometimes start bad-mouthing the store or putting her down, all while hiding behind the comfortable confines of their computers or phones.
Watching what his wife went through struck a nerve with Hendriks, 29, a right-hander who is fighting for a spot in the A’s bullpen.
