Lew Wolff, the longtime managing partner of the A’s ownership group, is stepping away from that role and selling most of his stake in the club to the team’s other owners, The Chronicle has learned.
The move is expected to be announced later today. John Fisher, who is the majority partner, will take over as managing partner.
In addition, Michael Crowley will move from team president to a senior advisor to the ownership group. The new A’s team president will be Dave Kaval, who is currently president of the San Jose Earthquakes.
