The Athletics placed left-handed pitcher Sean Manaea on the 10-day disabled list (retroactive to April 27) with a left shoulder strain, the club announced Sunday morning.
Manaea left his start on Wednesday after just two innings when he felt his shoulder tighten up. The A's were optimistic the lefty would be able to avoid a stint on the DL, but the injury has not progressed as well as they hoped.

Astros ace Dallas Keuchel seems to have recaptured the form that made him the American League's 2015 Cy Young Award winner, and he'll look to keep it going Sunday in the finale of a three-game series between the Astros and A's at Minute Maid Park.
