The A’s faced a one-run deficit heading into the bottom of the ninth inning and came away with a 6-5 victory over the Texas Rangers on Khris Davis’ walk-off walk.
Rangers closer Jose Leclerc allowed a leadoff hit to Chris Herrmann and battled Marcus Semien for a 10-pitch walk to prompt Matt Olson’s game-tying single. The Rangers intentionally walked Mark Canha to load the bases for Davis, who went up 3-1 and let a fastball up out of the zone fly by. The A’s split the series, 2-2, and move to 60-47.
Semien went yard off Pedro Payano to give the A’s an early 1-0 lead, he’d go 2-for-3 with a walk.
