MESA, Ariz. — Khris Davis was Major League Baseball’s home run king in 2018 and has homered more than any player in baseball over the past three seasons.
The A’s know what they have in Davis. Nothing he does in spring training can change that. But it is still nice to actually get a look at him before the real games begin.
After a left calf strain since the start of spring had limited to just taking at-bats over at minor league camp, Davis finally appeared in his first Cactus League game. The slugger went 0 for 2 with a strikeout in Friday’s 6-5 win over the Padres.
