After losing all four of their previous games to Cleveland this season - and getting shut out by the Indians the night before - the A’s took charge quickly Tuesday at the Coliseum.
Khris Davis thumped his 33rd homer of the season, a three-run shot in the first off Danny Salazar, and a big batch of A’s rookies also chipped in in Oakland’s 9-1 win over the Central-division-leading Indians.
Davis’ home-run total is the total’s highest since Jack Cust hit 33 in 2008 and it’s the most by an A’s right-handed hitter since Frank Thomas belted 39 in 2006.
