OAKLAND — Khris Davis is used to hitting home runs. No slugger in baseball has hit more than his 122 homers over the past three seasons, so the the feeling rounding the bases is nothing new for him. But this one was special.
Before the A’s 9-0 victory over the Texas Rangers Monday night, a group of kids from the Make-A-Wish foundation got the chance to take the field with club prior to the game.
Normally a chance for kids to meet their favorite players and ask for autographs, Khris Davis decided to turn the tables when 10-year-old Anthony Slocumb asked his signature.
