HOUSTON - Kendall Graveman’s demotion to Triple-A Nashville might not be for too long a stretch, A’s manager Bob Melvin suggested Friday.
“He just needs to go down and refine what he’s doing and relax a little bit,” Melvin said. “I think he was trying awfully hard. He’s a guy who starts Opening Day guy for you, you go through a drought where you haven’t won games and now every time you go out there there’s more pressure on you to perform.
“Couple that with some changes in his repertoire, making some mechanical adjustments, hopefully he can do this without pressure, hopefully it’s just a couple of starts and we get him back here because we’re going to need him.
