A’s starter Scott Kazmir left Wednesday’s outing against the Yankees after three innings with tightness in his left triceps.
Kazmir surrendered an unearned run on two hits, with four strikeouts and one walk, before departing after 50 pitches. Replays showed Kazmir shaking his arm around a bit as if something might have been bothering him. Evan Scribner relieved the lefty and gave up a homer to his first batter, Mark Teixeira, in the bottom of the fourth to tie the game 2-2.
With reports out of New York suggesting multiple teams in attendance to scout Kazmir, an arm injury -- even of a mild degree -- could obviously affect trade dialogue the A’s might be having regarding Kazmir.
