Houston Astros pitcher Zack Greinke has always kept his opponents on their toes, but tipping off batters in the middle of a playoff game seems like a bit much.
At first glance, that's exactly what it looked like Greinke did against the Oakland Athletics in Game 4 of their ALDS series. In the top of the second inning, with runners on first and second, the 36-year-old pitcher held up two fingers, normally signaling a breaking ball. A's batter Ramon Laureano promptly smacked a three-run homer.
Greinke calling his pitch.
Spoiler Alert: It worked out poorly.
