Instant Replay: Semien's four-hit night leads A's past Mariners

OAKLAND — The A’s slowed down a team that usually makes itself quite comfortable at the Coliseum.

A 6-3 victory over Seattle halted the Mariners’ six-game winning streak and also snapped their seven-game winning streak in Oakland dating back to last season.

Khris Davis hit his team-leading 28th home run and Sean Manaea picked up his first victory since June 29 as the A’s evened their record at 4-4 on this 10-game homestand. They snapped a 3-3 tie in the sixth when they scored three times on the back of five consecutive singles.

The Mariners (60-54) came in having won 14 of their previous 21, a stretch that has vaulted them into the thick of the American League Wild Card race.
