OAKLAND – Ryan Healy is breathing some rarified air these days.
With two homers Saturday and two more again Monday, he has 13 in the first nine weeks of the season. That matches his total for the second half of last year when he debuted with 13 home runs in 72 games over a dozen weeks.
More than that, Healy has hit 26 homers in his first 128 career games.
For the A’s, only two men have done better – the Bash Brothers. Mark McGwire hit 42 homers in his first 128 games and Jose Canseco hit 28 over the same number of games to start his Oakland career.
