Homers don’t help A’s overcome poor start against Angels

ANAHEIM — The Oakland A’s continued one trend on Thursday night, and came up considerably short with another.

The A’s hit a pair of solo homers in the opener of the four-game series against the Los Angeles Angels, but starting pitcher Tanner Anderson couldn’t get through the third inning, setting the stage for the 8-3 loss at Angel Stadium.
