Today is January 7, which means it’s one of the best holidays you’ve never heard of: Happy National Bobblehead Day!
This joyous occasion was created by the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame, which, by the way, is also a thing that exists. You can read all about the HOF’s history on its official site. It began around 2014ish, and while the physical location hasn’t yet opened (in Milwaukee), the site says that’s planned for later in January. As for this day of bobble celebration, it was first observed back in 2015.
Personally, I’m a big fan of bobbleheads, as I’ve mentioned here before:
I’ve never been a major collector of sports memorabilia, other than baseball cards as a kid, but bobbleheads are right in my wheelhouse.
