SAN FRANCISCO -- The day Jarrett Parker broke his right clavicle, the San Francisco Giants were three games out of first place.
As he comes off the disabled list Thursday for San Francisco's series finale against the Oakland A's, the Giants are 35 games out.
It's hard to say how much of that falloff can be attributed to the absence of Parker, but San Francisco has struggled to get production from its outfielders. Parker, who hit .267 with 11 homers in 84 games covering parts of the 2015 and 2016 seasons, could have helped.
