The Oakland A’s saw some interleague action last weekend, taking two of three from the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field. Now they’re back home for some more, hosting the Arizona Diamondbacks for a quick two-game set.
The A’s and D’Backs already met this year, back in April. Oakland won both games in the desert, but neither victory was comfortable, by margins of 9-5 and 7-5.
The first of those previous meeting was started by Chris Bassitt, and he’ll be on the mound again tonight for the A’s. The right-hander only made it through five innings in that April appearance but held Arizona to two runs, and since then he has an excellent 3.
